Manchester, NH, July 15, 2011: In a move that bodes well for cost-conscious retailers and consumers, the Connecticut Retail Merchants Association (CRMA) has signed an agreement with Freedom Energy Logistics (FEL) to sell electricity products to its members. The two-year contract promises a discount on energy delivery to members of the CRMA.
August Fromuth, Managing Director of FEL, states, “CRMA and FEL are working together in Connecticut to offer retail clients like Macy’s, Loews, Burger King and Target a way to receive their electricity at prices 10-25% lower than what they are paying now. By guiding retailers in ways to lower their overhead, we can help them control fixed costs. Ultimately, that can’t help but be a ‘win’ for the consumer.”
Says Tim Phelan, president of CRMA, “Once again, the CRMA is using its group purchasing power to secure programs and pricing not available to individual businesses. Our mission is to help retailers with their bottom line. Offering Freedom Energy Logistics’ expertise to our members does just that.”
With this agreement, CRMA joins businesses and institutions throughout the five deregulated New England states in receiving substantial electricity supply cost savings through FEL. FEL works with customers to ascertain their unique needs, then utilizes wholesale opportunities, market guidance, and long-term strategic procurement planning to supply electricity at substantial cost reductions. Representative of clients throughout the region are Westerly Hospital in RI; Saint Anselm College in NH; and Fairchild Semiconductor in ME.
