This year’s event raised more than $70,000 for the Bobby Stephen Fund for Education which provides college scholarships to disadvantage students. A past recipient of a Bobby Stephen scholarship received a standing ovation after he gave an honest and heartwarming speech about how the scholarship allowed him to turn his life around after it had started heading down the wrong path.
Further festivities for the event included speeches from Governor Hassan, Bobby Stephen, Mayor Gatsas, Jean Shaheen, Stan Spirou, wonderful performances from local Irish Step dancers, a delicious Corn Beef and Cabbage dinner, and a lively auction hosted by Rich Girard from the popular radio show Girard at large. Thank you Bobby Stephen for throwing such a successful fundraising and wildly entertaining event, and for your continued dedication to New Hampshire students.
