The New Hampshire Municipal Association Annual Conference theme "Getting Used to Different" explores how municipalities continue to adapt to the events of the pandemic. Together with our strategic partner Colonial Power Group, Freedom Energy is thrilled to present two sessions that embrace this year's theme on Thursday, November 17.

Community Choice Aggregation: Hear from Participating Cities/Towns

Considering Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) for your community? In this session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about CCA from a panel of community leaders who have gone through the process. Attendees will learn about the benefits, best practices, steps in the process, and even the challenges of CCA. Attendees will also have the opportunity to get a diverse viewpoint on their CCA questions from those who have already experienced the process.

 

Presented by: Stuart Ormsbee, VP, Power Supply Strategies, Colonial Power Group. Stuart will be joined by a panel including the past City Manager from the City of Lowell, MA, the City Council President & Chair of the City of Marlboro Municipal Aggregation Committee, and a member of the Board of Selectmen for the town of Conway, MA.

Net Metering: The Opportunity and Benefits for Municipalities

This session will provide an overview of net metering: what it is, how it works, and provide insight into how to participate. This session will also address the significant benefits available to participating municipalities, including the state's valuable financial incentives and support for renewable generation. The session will include ample time for audience participation/questions.

 

Presented by: Bart Fromuth, Chief Executive Officer, Freedom Energy Logistics. Bart will be joined by the Town Manager from the Town of Merrimack and the County Manager from Sullivan County.

The Commission's investigation supports eliminating carbon emissions from electricity generation with the urgent goal of mitigating the threat of climate change. Amoskeag Hydro Facility Tour Highlights

Together with Central Rivers Power, Freedom Energy hosted a hydro facility tour and luncheon on October 27 for off-takers and those interested in learning more about the Hydro Net Metering Program. During the tour, attendees learned how the hydro facility operates, the program, and its benefits.
