NHMA Conference: Energizing Conversations with Clients and Community Members
Municipal leaders at NHMA are seeking more control, clarity, and financial predictability in their energy programs—and Freedom Energy Logistics is positioned to deliver trusted solutions like CCA and virtual net metering.

Attending the NHMA Conference for the first time as a representative of Freedom Energy Logistics was truly energizing and inspiring. Even though this year's event may have felt a bit quieter than previous conferences, the conversations we had reinforced just how important energy strategy remains for communities across New Hampshire.
Our municipal leaders continue to demonstrate dedication, resilience, and forward thinking as they work to deliver reliable, cost-effective services to their residents. While each town and city faces its own unique challenges, they are united by a shared commitment to navigating an evolving energy landscape and building a stronger, more sustainable future for their communities.
What New Hampshire Municipalities Need Most
One theme stood out in nearly every conversation: municipalities want more control, more transparency, and more predictability in their energy programs. Many representatives shared frustration with their current community energy program, with rates being a recurring point of concern. Municipalities expect a program that delivers measurable value, clear communication, and long-term stability. Attendees expressed disappointment about recent price changes and the difficulty of explaining those fluctuations to residents.
CCA: A Better Model for Local Control
These conversations opened the door for deeper discussions about the alternative models of Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) and virtual net metering we offer here at Freedom. Officials were happy to hear how much flexibility and financial benefit these options can provide when structured and managed strategically. With CCA, municipalities can take a stronger leadership role in setting goals for cost savings, sustainability, and long-term budget stability for their residents. They also appreciated hearing that our CCA program is self-funded and can be designed around a town's specific needs and priorities.

Virtual Net Metering Sparks Opportunity
Virtual Net Metering prompted equally thoughtful conversations. Many representatives shared that they would love to have access to these programs and were happy to hear how we are knowledgeable partners who can guide them through the setup, evaluate available projects, and manage the ongoing financial components. Virtual Net Metering provides a proven pathway for municipalities looking to offset costs, support local renewable projects, and make better use of their assets.
Proud to Support New Hampshire Communities
Being a New Hampshire resident, I was proud to see the genuine dedication our municipal officials have to our communities. You could feel the desire to serve residents more effectively in every interaction. As someone attending NHMA for the first time, I left with a deep appreciation for the work these leaders do, and with renewed excitement about how Freedom Energy Logistics can support them. The conference solidified the value of being a trusted advisor when exploring CCA, leveraging virtual net metering, or simply helping towns gain clarity in a confusing market.
Our team is grateful for the opportunity to speak with so many thoughtful representatives, and we look forward to continuing the conversations started at NHMA, because New Hampshire's communities deserve energy programs that truly work for them."
