Ryan DeSantis is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of experience in the energy industry, including 2 years in Nuclear Generation and 17 years in Retail. As a Regional Sales Director at Freedom Energy, he is responsible for enhancing customers’ energy spend categories, creating energy management plans for clients, and implementing sustainability initiatives.

In his previous roles in the energy industry, Ryan implemented procurement, resiliency, and sustainability best practices for healthcare facilities. He also managed relationships with ABCs (Aggregator/Broker/Consultants) to provide energy procurement products tailored to their clients’ needs while also introducing new product offerings.

Ryan is dedicated to educating clients on the importance of implementing energy management plans in a carbon-free future. He focuses on optimizing energy costs and rethinking the conversations of costs and savings versus risk management. He is also engaged in speaking opportunities, particularly on Demand Response for healthcare clients.

Outside of work, Ryan is actively involved in community service, volunteering for the Earth Day Riverview Park clean-up in Minetto, NY, and assisting the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District in removing water chestnuts from the Oswego River shoreline. His passion project involves obtaining funding for an indoor community garden with an educational component, promoting locally sourced foods and healthy eating habits.
