Learning from a Remarkable Leader
There's something uniquely inspiring about starting each day knowing you're about to learn from one of the best. As the executive assistant to the CEO of Freedom Energy Logistics, I've had the rare privilege of shadowing a truly remarkable leader, Bart Fromuth, our CEO, on a daily basis. It's an experience that has transformed the way I view leadership, business, and even myself.
Bart is the kind of leader who makes you want to do better simply by watching how he operates. He is sharp, visionary, and decisive—but what sets him apart is how deeply he cares about people. Whether he's strategizing with senior leadership, meeting with clients, or navigating the complexities of the energy market, he leads with kindness, integrity, and transparency. His door is always open, and so is his mind. He listens, he teaches, and he empowers his entire team.
Every Meeting a Masterclass
Every meeting is a masterclass. I've watched him navigate high-pressure situations with calmness and clarity, deliver complex information in ways anyone can understand, and make decisions that balance business sense with ethical responsibility. It's no surprise that his leadership has helped propel Freedom Energy into a period of exciting growth and innovation.
The High Stakes of Supporting a CEO
That's not to say it's easy. Being the assistant to a CEO is a high-pressure role with much responsibility, but it gives you an up-close view of the weight they carry. The days are long, the stakes are high, and the expectations never rest. Bart handles it all with an honest and humble approach which is rare in any industry, and I consider myself lucky to be able to support him.
Lessons in Leadership, Resilience, and Vision
That's the magic of this role. I'm not just organizing meetings and managing schedules, but I'm absorbing lessons on leadership, resilience, and vision. I'm seeing what it takes to build a company where people feel proud to work, and where success is defined not only by results but by relationships and values.
Working with Bart and the entire Freedom Energy team has been nothing short of extraordinary. The culture here is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and purpose. We're growing fast, and we're doing it the right way—with integrity and heart.
Inspired for the Road Ahead
I'm excited about what's ahead. Being part of this journey, even behind the scenes, is more than a job—it's an honor. And if there's one thing I've learned from shadowing our CEO, it's that great leadership doesn't just drive success. It inspires it.
