Kurt Chapman

Chief Operating Officer

Kurt Chapman serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Freedom Energy, where he oversees business strategy and aligns revenue-related functions including marketing, sales, recruiting, operations, and revenue management. Kurt is committed to problem-solving, individual coaching, and mentorship, using these skills to drive the company towards continued success.

With a strong background in operations management, Kurt joined Freedom Energy in 2012 after serving as an Operations Manager in the wastewater industry. In that role, he excelled in establishing and nurturing client and engineer relationships, orchestrating sales, marketing, and project management efforts that led to the successful completion of numerous wastewater projects and generated substantial revenue for the company.

Kurt is also a member of the Government Affairs Committee for The Energy Professionals Association (TEPA). In this role, he contributes to safeguarding and promoting the interests of TEPA members within legislative and regulatory arenas. The committee monitors, analyzes, and provides input on state and federal legislation and regulations affecting the retail energy market, ensuring that members are well-informed and represented on issues critical to their success.

In addition to his responsibilities at Freedom Energy and TEPA, Kurt is an active member of the local nonprofit Field of Dreams in Salem, NH, demonstrating his commitment to community betterment.

Kurt holds a BS degree from Bates College and earned his MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University. He is a proud graduate of the Leadership Greater Manchester’s Class of 2018, showcasing his dedication to personal and professional development.
