Byron Blankenhorn brings over 20 years of global sustainability and energy market expertise to his role as Renewable Program Director at Freedom Energy Logistics. He leads renewable program strategy and development across the company’s portfolio, helping clients navigate clean energy procurement and carbon reduction pathways.

Byron’s career spans leadership roles in environmental commodities, energy efficiency, and corporate sustainability consulting. Prior to joining Freedom Energy, he held senior positions at Mantis Innovation, Carbonvert, and Schneider Electric, where he led major renewable energy procurement projects and environmental market operations. Byron is known for aligning Net Zero strategies with custom energy programs that drive measurable impact.

At Freedom Energy, Byron collaborates with public and private sector clients to design and implement renewable energy solutions, including on-site generation, PPAs/VPPAs, RECs, EV infrastructure, and energy optimization strategies.

He holds an MBA in Renewable Energy Project Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder – Leeds School of Business and a B.S. in Finance and Management from Case Western Reserve University. Byron’s commitment to a cleaner energy future continues to shape his work and relationships across the industry.
